Waterloo man faces serious charges after ghost gun sales in Seneca County

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson announced the arrest of a Waterloo man on serious weapons charges. Blye E. Delair, 40, faces four counts of criminal possession of a weapon, two counts each of criminal sale of a firearm and ghost gun, and criminal sale of a semi-automatic rifle.

According to Sheriff Thompson, Delair allegedly sold semi-automatic โ€œghost gunsโ€ on two separate occasions. These ghost guns are particularly concerning due to their untraceable nature and lack of serial numbers. Delairโ€™s arrest underscores the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces with the illegal sale and distribution of firearms.

Following his arrest, Delair was processed and arraigned at Seneca Countyโ€™s Centralized Arraignment Part Court. He was then remanded to the Seneca County Jail.
