Karma got Taylor Swift’s alleged stalker again on Wednesday.
The man who has allegedly been creeping around the pop singer’s Tribeca townhouse over the last several months was busted on Jan. 24 after dumpster-diving at the location — and made bizarre claims as he was again taken away in cuffs.
According to police sources, 33-year-old David Crowe of Seattle was picked up at around 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 24. That arrest happened less than a hour after Crowe was in a Manhattan Criminal Court room for arraignment on charges that he allegedly trespassed Swift’s Franklin Street residence and rifled through the building’s dumpster.
But when he was escorted from the 1st Precinct stationhouse on Wednesday night, Crowe refused to “Shake it Off,” and ranted and raved before the gaggle of press assembled.
“I was grabbing my pants that they threw in the dumpster when they falsely arrested me,” a wide-eyed Crowe told reporters.
This odd explanation for rifling through the trash didn’t explain why a worker at the performer’s home had reportedly spotted Crowe lurking around the area some 30 times since late last year, according to court documents.
Crowe was last cuffed on at around 6 p.m. on Jan. 22 for allegedly trying to gain entry inside the Franklin Street location. Crowe was swiftly arrested by officers from the 1st Precinct and slapped with stalking and harassment charges.
When appearing in court on Wednesday for arraignment, a judge ruled that the defendant could not return to the home — issuing an order of protection.
Crowe allegedly immediately ignored the order and going back to the Franklin Street location right after Wednesday’s court hearing. He was then taken into custody for violating the protection order.
