See ‘Unbillievable! The Movie’ this week at Regal theaters, get a free beef on weck

What could pair better with a (fictional) movie about the Buffalo Bills making it all the way to the Super Bowl than a classic beef on weck?

“Unbillievable! The Movie”ย โ€“ a locally made comedy about three generations of Buffalo Bills fans gathering to watch their team try to win it all โ€“ is playing this week at Regal Cinemas theaters in Western New York.ย 

โ€œAt this point, the fan base is as interesting as the team, if not more interesting,โ€ said co-director Scott Rubin.

And those who bring their movie ticket to Charlie the Butcher on Wehrle Drive will get a free roast beef sandwich on a kummelweck roll.

The movie was directed by Buffalo natives and lifelong Bills fansย Scott Rubin andย J. Garrett Vorreuter. Rubin also stars as Danny Rubinski, the die-hard Bills fan who hosts a Super Bowl watch party for his family at his Buffalo home.ย ย 

The movie premieredย in December at the North Park Theater on Hertel Avenue.ย 

“Unbillievable! The Movie” was filmed entirely in Buffalo, mostly at Rubinโ€™s house, in April and May. Scenes were also shot at the former Rockpile (now Johnnie B. Wiley Sports Pavilion), Mikeโ€™s Lounge on the East Side and the Buffalo History Museum.
