STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Journey is set to perform at the NFC Championship halftime show, at Levi’s Stadium, between the San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Lions, according to multiple reports.
The 49ers posted to its X (Twitter), that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group will play at halftime at the game on Sunday, Jan. 28, an MLive.com report says.
Journey will be embarking on a busy couple of months with Toto from February through April, before a stadium tour with Def Leppard in July, the report states.
Louis Fonsi, most notably known for his song ‘Despacito,’ will sing the National Anthem.
The Lions will make their first appearance in the NFC Championship game since the 1991 season, when they lost to the Washington Redskins, now known as the Commanders.
This will be the 49ers 18th NFC Championship appearance. The winner of the matchup will advance to the Super Bowl, and play either the Baltimore Ravens or the Kansas City Chiefs.
The NFC Championship game will take place at 6:30 p.m., while the AFC Championship is Sunday at 3 p.m.
