Detectives in Brooklyn are looking for the shooting suspect who pulled the trigger on two men and left them injured on Saturday night. Â
According to police sources, officers from the 75th Precinct rushed to a home located at 599 New Lots Ave. in East New York at around 6:38 p.m. on Jan. 27 after gunfire erupted in the residential neighborhood.Â
Responding officers discovered the wounded men located just steps away from the Variety Convenience Deli. Authorities report that a 26-year-old man reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to the heel of his foot, while the second victim, a 30-year-old man, was struck by three bullets — two of which pierced his leg while one hit his ankle.Â
Both victims were rushed to Brookdale University Hospital for treatment; they are expected to survive, police sources reported.
This was the fifth shooting in the 75th Precinct since the year began.
Immediately after responding to Saturday’s shooting, police swiftly set up a perimeter in the roadway and searched the area with flashlights, discovering several shell casings.Â
Police did not provide a description of the perpetrator. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
