Mock Draft Monday 5.0: Draft experts all over the board in latest Buffalo Bills mock draft roundup

With the first wave of free agency in the books, it’s time to turn our attention to the 2023 NFL Draft. Round 1 of this year’s draft is exactly one month away and the Buffalo Bills have some decisions to make.

After addressing mostly offense in free agency, should the team continue that trend in the first round? Buffalo could add one of the draft’s top tight ends, another offensive lineman or even a pass-catcher late in Round 1.

All of Buffalo’s moves in free agency could signal that the team plans to address the defensive side of the ball early in the draft. Buffalo did not sign any outside free agent to compete for the linebacker vacancy left by Tremaine Edmunds to date and the defensive line could use some upgrades as well.

Who are some players to keep an eye on based on Buffalo’s biggest needs? With the draft just one month away, here is who various draft experts have the Bills selecting in Round 1.

Ryan Wilson, CBS Sports

Round 1: Drew Sanders, LB, Arkansas

Sanders is a former five-star who transferred from Alabama after the 2021 season and all he did was show out for the Razorbacks. He was an edge rusher for the Crimson Tide but he lined up all over the defense for Arkansas and he’s been a one-man wrecking crew when he’s on the field.

Keith Sanchez, The Draft Network

Round 1: Joe Tippmann, IOL, Wisconsin

The Bills need to be able to run the football and take more pressure off of Josh Allen to carry the team every week. They’ve already addressed the RB position and signed Damien Harris from the Patriots. Now, they need to address the offensive line issue. With this pick, they draft interior offensive lineman Joe Tippmann. Tippman is an athletic offensive lineman that is an asset in the run game as well as in pass protection.
