The Buffalo Sabres will be without forward Jack Quinn for at least the next two months.
Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reported Monday that Quinn underwent surgery on a lower-body injury he suffered in Saturday’s 5-2 road victory over the San Jose Sharks and is expected to miss approximately eight weeks.
The injury occurred in the third period when he took a hit along the wall from Sharks forward Tomas Hertl.
Quinn missed the first two months of the season as he worked his back from an Achilles tear.
The 22-year-old has scored five goals and tallied seven assists over 16 games this season.
