POUGHKEEPSIE – A person was stabbed inside the main hall of the Poughkeepsie train station late Monday night.
City of Poughkeepsie and MTA police responded to a report of a person stabbed in the chest at the train station just after 11 p.m.
The victim was conscious and alert when first responders arrived.
The stabbing appears to be the result of a robbery, according to a source.
Investigating officers detained one suspect at Waryas Park and a second suspect was apprehended in the parking lot of the Children’s Museum.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for additional treatment.
