Lysander, N.Y. — A portion of Route 48 has been closed most of the day Monday and will remain closed for several more hours after a crash, Onondaga County 911 dispatchers said.
Route 48 is closed in both directions from Kellogg Road in Lysander, Onondaga County, to County Line Road in Granby, Oswego County, according to 511NY.org.
A trailer became unhitched from a pickup truck, went into a ditch and struck a pole on Route 48, said Trooper Jack Keller, a spokesman for the state police. No one was injured in the crash, he said.
A utility company is working to replace the pole, Keller said.
State police told 911 dispatchers at 2:40 p.m. that part of Route 48 near the crash site is expected to remain closed for “several more hours,” dispatchers said.
