The Geneva Police Department is investigating a robbery that happened on Castle Street Wednesday morning.
Around 8:45 a.m. police responded to a residence on Castle Street for the reported robbery in progress.
Upon officers’ arrival, they located a 49-year-old female, unharmed, reporting that a male had just stolen property from within her residence and the suspect was no longer on scene.
Officers canvassed the area and are currently following up on several leads.
Investigators have determined that this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
This investigation remains ongoing. Police say they were assisted by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
