STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 43-year-old man was found dead in Faber Park in Port Richmond late on Wednesday night, authorities said.
The fatality is being investigated as a suicide with no criminality suspected at this time, a source with knowledge of the investigation told the Advance/SILive.com.
Officers were called around 11 p.m. Wednesday to the playground area of the park, located at 2175 Richmond Terrace. The man was found unresponsive and he was pronounced dead at that location by EMS, according to a spokeswoman for the NYPD.
The man was found hanged in the park, the source said.
Police have not released the identity of the man.
