The Knicks extended their dominant streak to nine straight games with Thursday’s 109-105, come-from-behind win over the Indiana Pacers. Jalen Brunson rained 40 down on Indiana as the Knicks earned some payback after a loss to the Pacers earlier in the season. The Knicks improved to 32-17 for the win, and are in third place in the Eastern Conference, just shy of overtaking the Milwaukee Bucks in second.
Now New York hosts Lakers (25-25, ninth in the Western Conference), who are coming off a 114-105 win over the Boston Celtics. LeBron James remains day-to-day for LA after sustaining an ankle injury, as the Lakers carry an 8-17 road record with them to New York.
