Sodus woman left 3-year-old in cold car alone

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of 32-year-old Rachel A. Tari from Sodus following an incident where she allegedly left her three-year-old child unattended in a vehicle during cold weather. The deputies were called to the scene where they found the child alone in the back seat of a car, with temperatures outside at 28 degrees and the vehicle’s engine turned off.

Tari has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child due to her actions. The arrest highlights the serious risk and potential harm that can come from leaving children unattended in vehicles, especially under cold weather conditions.

Following her arrest, Tari was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and then taken to the Wayne County Jail.
