STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A fire broke out in a private dwelling in Prince’s Bay Sunday morning, a spokesperson for the FDNY said.
Twelve units consisting of 60 Fire and EMS personnel were on the scene of the blaze which was reported around 12:52 a.m. at a home located at 147 Waterbury Ave., between Bayview and Seguine Avenues, according to the FDNY.
FDNY reports that the fire resulted in one firefighter sustaining minor injuries, according to the spokesperson.
The firefighter was transported to Staten Island University Hospital, Prince’s Bay, the department said.

The fire was brought under control by 1:43 a.m., as reported by the FDNY spokesperson.
Fire marshals are investigating the cause and origin, the department noted.
