STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 29-year-old man was driving around Mariners Harbor in a car loaded with firearms, including multiple ghost guns, as well as a taser and cocaine, authorities allege.
Leandro Fernandez of Bache Avenue in New Dorp was alone and behind the wheel of a 2020 Toyota Rav4 when he was stopped by police in the vicinity of Forest Avenue and Harbor Road on Jan. 25, according to the criminal complaint.
Police previously posted on social media that his arrest was part of a traffic-enforcement effort.
