Tune in to see the second season of “America in Black” that premieres during February, Black History Month, with two new, original episodes set to air on Tuesday, Feb. 6, and Tuesday, Feb. 20 on BET at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT,
According to the network’s website the show has become a “vital and authentic platform for in-depth investigative reporting, compelling newsmaker interviews, engaging human interest stories, and exclusive celebrity profiles.”
In addition, “America in Black” welcomes proudly the return of veteran BET News anchor Ed Gordon to the network after an 18-year hiatus as special correspondent.
CBS Mornings featured host Vladimir Duthiers and special correspondent, award-winning journalist, speaker, author and philanthropist, Soledad O’Brien who are also joining “America in Black” this season.
The premiere episode on Feb. 6 will feature O’Brien’s interview and profile of Ava DuVernay, the filmmaker behind the new movie “Origin” and one of Hollywood’s most sought-after and iconic writer-directors of her generation.
Also, a profile of Sandra Douglass Morgan, on the eve of the Super Bowl with CBS News correspondent Danya Bacchus profiling the first and only Black woman NFL team president, a report on Black love from CBS News’ Jericka Duncan, and much more.
Comedian Roy Wood Jr. also returns this season with his “Mic Drop” commentary segment beginning Feb. 6.
