Seneca County man arrested for drug possession in Junius

In the early hours of February 1 deputies arrested 23-year-old Shian Herrington in Junius for criminal possession of a controlled substance. The arrest occurred when Herrington was found in a disabled vehicle alongside a quantity of suspected methamphetamine. Additionally, Herrington was wanted on an active warrant by the New York State Police.

Following the discovery, Herrington was issued an appearance ticket for February 20 where they are scheduled to appear in the Town of Junius Court to respond to the charges. Subsequent to the arrest, Herrington was handed over to the New York State Police to address the outstanding warrant.

The arrest was supported by both the Seneca Falls Police Department and the New York State Police, showcasing the collaborative efforts of local law enforcement agencies to address and curb controlled substance possession within the community.
