FLORIDA – First responders from Orange County’s Technical Rescue Team were called out on Wednesday night after a paraglider got stuck in a tree.
The Technical Rescue Team was requested by the Florida Fire Department to assist with a high-angle rope rescue, which was required to free the paraglider from the tree. The paraglider, who officials did not identify and was uninjured, was suspended 40 feet in the air.
After approximately 90 minutes, rescuers were able to safely lower the paraglider to the ground.
