HIGHLAND – A 42-year-old Highland woman has been arrested for allegedly beating an elderly man with a baseball bat causing injuries to the victim’s face and legs.
Lloyd Town Police charged Genesis Spatola with assault, criminal mischief and criminal possession of a weapon, all as felonies in connection with the incident.
Police said Spatola is also accused of smashing out the victim’s car windows with the bat, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.
Police gave no explanation for the attack.
Spatola was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
