The Geneva Police Department reports the arrest of a city resident on Class A felony sex assault charges following an investigation.
Jorge Luis Rodriguez-Merced, 30, of Geneva has been charged with first-degree predatory sex assault against a child.
The Class A-II felony charge stems from an investigation alleging that over the cours of 2022 – he sexually assaulted a victim less than 13-years-old.
The investigation remains open.
