LOUDONVILLE – The Siena men’s lacrosse team hasn’t shot straight or won a road game this season.
The Saints will try to take care of both problems when they play Wednesday at Canisius in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match.
Siena (3-4 overall, 1-2 MAAC) owns a shooting percentage of 25.6, which ranks 60th out of 72 Division I programs.
“Definitely (want to be) higher than that,” Saints head coach Liam Gleason said. “I think we are developing some good looks. They weren’t just falling. The Saints were beaten 9-8 at Canisius last year.
Siena sits in a six-way tie for fifth in the MAAC standings. The top six teams qualify for the league tournament.
“This (Canisius) game is massive for us,” said fifth-year midfielder Christian Watts, who has a team-high 19 goals. “We definitely need to get this win to stay…
