Top-earning Syracuse city employees ranked: Search pay for more than 2,600 workers

Syracuse, N.Y. — More than 500 Syracuse city employees earned $100,000 or more in total pay in 2023 and nearly all of them were police officers or firefighters.

Of the 507 city workers who earned at least $100,000 last year, all but 42 worked for the police or fire departments, including all of the top 100 highest-paid city workers. The first highest-paid non-police or fire worker doesn’t show up on the list until No. 125.
