Junior guard Pat Healy scored a game-high 25 points to spark the Hobart basketball team to a 76-63 Liberty League win over Vassar tonight. The win, coupled with Clarkson’s win over RPI, moved the Statesmen back into a three-way tie for first in the conference with one game remaining in the regular season.
Healy’s fireworks included a 10-of-14 shooting performance, three 3-pointers and a 2-for-2 effort at the line. He also grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists and logged a game-high four steals. He was joined in double digits by junior forward Carter Meshanic, who scored 14 points and was 6-of-12 from the floor. Senior guard Isaiah Washington added 11 points and eight rebounds, sharing game-high honors with senior forward Ryan Lucey.
Vassar had two players in double figures led by first-year guard Shea Fitzgerald’s 20 points. Sophomore forward Nathan Denham chipped in 11 points and six boards, sharing team-high honors with first-year forward Sebastian Medina.

- Hobart never trailed, leading for 36:57. Vassar forged the only tie of the game at 2-2.

- Hobart broke the game open early. After the visitors tied the game at 2, the Statesmen responded with a 23-5 run.
- First-year Alex Moesch (9 pts) led the way with six points, while Meshanic, Washington and Healy each contributed four points in the pivotal swing. Healy highlighted the run, throwing down a breakaway dunk set up by a steal by junior guard Hunter Meshanic.
- The Statesmen went into halftime with a 38-22 lead. Hobart shot 50% from the floor in the opening 20 minutes.
