While some fans of former President Donald Trump are reportedly attempting to smear pop star Taylor Swift under the belief that she’s being used to help boost President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign, recent polling shows that Swift is considered one of the most popular people in America, CNN is reporting.
A Monmouth University poll released last week shows that Swift has a 39% favorable rating, 13% unfavorable rating and 43% with no opinion of her. Of those with an opinion, 75% had a positive view of her. A Marist college poll showed similar results, the report said.
The poll goes on to show that even amongst Republicans, Swift scores a 25% favorable to 18% unfavorable rating. More Republicans like her than dislike her, as 58% viewed her favorably, the report said.
According to the numbers, Trump is considered more unpopular than Swift with a 45% favorable to a 55% unfavorable rating according to a combined sampling of recent polling, the report said.
