STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Bright lighting, expanded prepared foods plus an emphasis on organic options mark the new, airy look of Stop & Shop in Bulls Head. The established grocer recently snipped a “grand opening” ribbon on its remodeled store at 1441 Richmond Ave.
Other perks of the overhauled operation include over 1,000 new multicultural products across the entire store, with an expansive Kosher and Asian product.
Here are more things to pay attention with the grocer:
- Increased grab-and-go meal solutions, including a full in-line hot bar, Boar’s Head sandwich station and freshly made sushi;
- Produce has expanded along with organic displays;
- Meat department has been simplified and more accessible to a shopper looking to grab and go without filling up a cart:
- More seafood, including smoked salmon and fresh fillet;
- Dairy and frozen departments carry more variety, including more multicultural options;
- Organics are a major emphasis throughout the store;
- Beer and beverages can be purchased chilled with a more expansive seleciton.
“We’re excited to share our newly remodeled store with our Staten Island neighbors,” said Michele Mankin-Butensky, store manager of Stop & Shop. “We’ve added more products that our customers want and upgrades they need to make their shopping experience simpler and more enjoyable.”
Stop & Shop’s savings program is marketed under GO Rewards for which there is a mobile app via Stopandshop.com. As per the store’s rules, every $1 spent in-store and online at Stop & Shop, members earn 1 GO Point. To that end, 100 GO Points can be redeemed for 10 cents off per gallon of gas, up to $1.50 off per gallon, up to a 20 gallon fill up at participating Shell stations.
