With the Knicks second to open the second half of the season on Thursday at the Sixers, the team provided health updates on a number of key injured players.
Julius Randle (shoulder), OG Anunoby (elbow) and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) are all expected back at some point during the run-up to the playoffs, when the Knicks hope to make a run once their team is back to full health.

Randle dislocated his shoulder last month and the team said Feb. 1 he would be reevaluated in 2-3 weeks.
“He’s doing well overall, he hasn’t been cleared to practice yet,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters Tuesday. “He’s meeting all the markers, he’s moving around pretty good, so just take it day by day. He’s doing everything that they’re asking him to do, he’s working out twice a day.
Anunoby had elbow surgery earlier this month and the Knicks said Feb. 9 he would be reevaluated in three weeks. He said he expected to return this season.
“Yeah, yeah, for sure,” Anunoby said. “Hopefully, just following the doctors orders. following the medical staff and progressing day by day. But I’m feeling better and better, so yeah I want to be back as soon as possible.”
As for Robinson, he underwent left ankle surgery in December but on Friday his trainer Marcell Scott posted video of him working out, with the caption, “Getting playoff ready!”
Said Thibodeau: “It’s just a steady progression, you know. The boot is off and he can shoot, he’s not running and jumping yet, but he can shoot on the court… each week will be another step for him to clear.”
ESPN’s Tim Bontemps said this week on a podcast: “Mitchell Robinson could be back in early March – or sometime in March – from his ankle surgery.”
The Knicks coach also said Donte Divincenzo, Isaiah Hartenstein and Bojan Bogdanovic all practiced Tuesday, according to Ian Begley.
