Deputies in Wayne County made another arrest after a vehicle was stolen and pursuit ensued spanning two counties.
Jacob Gonyeau, 25, was found to be a passenger in the vehicle that police on a pursuit through western Wayne County, which ended in Monroe County on Rt. 590.
Gonyeau was charged with one count of criminal possession of stolen property, deputies said in a release late-Tuesday.
He was transported to the Wayne County Jail for arraignment and will answer the charges in Ontario Town Court at a later date.
Wolcott woman charged with grand larceny after pursuit through Wayne, Monroe counties
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on a pursuit that began in Wayne County and ended in Monroe County along Route 590.
Deputies arrested Chyenne Gonyeau, 25, of Wolcott after stealing a parked car there. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but she fled.
A pursuit occurred through multiple towns in Wayne and Monroe counties. New York State Police ultimately assisted in apprehended Gonyeau in Monroe County.
She has been charged with grand larceny, criminal mischief, unlawfully fleeing a police officer, and several traffic violations.
The charges will be answered in Wolcott Town Court at a later date.
