STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two jackpot-prize winning TAKE 5 tickets worth more than $9,000 were sold in New York state, including one prize sold on Staten Island.
The New York Lottery announced that two top prize-winning tickets, worth $9,877 each, were both sold during the TAKE 5 midday drawing on Saturday. One ticket was purchased at Bagels, Bread & Butter, located at 732 Forest Ave. in West Brighton. A second ticket was purchased at Paris Enterprise Inc. at 3359 Great Neck Rd. in Amityville, N.Y.
The winning numbers for the Saturday, Feb. 24, TAKE 5 midday drawing were 1, 7, 9, 11, and 17.
TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. To win the TAKE 5 jackpot, match the five numbers on your ticket to the winning five-number combination drawn. It costs $1 per game to play.
The drawing is broadcast on television twice daily at 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. TAKE 5 players with midday and evening draws on the same ticket must check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to determine if they have the winning numbers for the corresponding midday or evening drawing.
The odds of winning the TAKE 5 jackpot is 1 in 575,757.
A Lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
