TOWN OF NEWBURGH – As firefighters arrived at a house fire at 31 Innis Avenue Sunday night, flames were shooting out of both sides of the structure’s second floor.
The Red Cross was called in to assist four adults and four children displaced as a result of the two-alarm blaze.
There were no reports of injuries and the cause is under investigation by Orange County fire investigators.
The blaze was fought by Orange Lake, Newburgh and Goodwill firefighters. Middle Hope and Cronomer Valley volunteers stood by.
