The Seneca Town Board has once again selected Niagara Falls-based EnSol Inc. to conduct an annual audit of payments received from Casella Waste Services of Ontario LLC for the year 2023.
This ongoing agreement, in place since 2004, ensures that the compensation received under the host community agreement with Casella, which operates the Ontario County Landfill, accurately reflects the volume of waste processed.
The landfill’s payments to the town are determined by the tonnage of solid waste accepted for disposal.
EnSol, which also performed the audit for the year 2022, will be compensated $2,000 for their services.
The Ontario County Landfill, spanning 389 acres, is authorized to manage up to 2,999 tons of waste daily.
