Group violently stabs man aboard Bronx bus

Police are looking for the group who violently stabbed a man aboard a Bronx bus earlier this month.ย 

According to police, the 35-year-old victim was riding the Bx19 bus near E. 149th Street and St. Annโ€™s Avenue in the South Bronx at around 8:40 a.m. on Feb. 15, when the group approached and engaged him in a verbal altercation.ย 

One of the suspects then stabbed him in the head with a knife, while the others punched and hit him in the back with a blunt object, cops said.ย 

The suspects hopped off the bus before police arrived and ran off towards 600 Bergen Ave.

Paramedics, meanwhile, took the bloodied man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln for treatment.ย 

Citywide, cops have investigated 3,372 assaults on the streets of the five boroughs โ€” marking a slight uptick from the 3,347 assaults during the same timeframe last year,ย accordingย to NYPDย statistics.
