The Auburn YMCA is introducing several new initiatives under the leadership of Kim Cuipylo, the experienced Director of Youth Development. With an extensive background in child and family studies, Cuipylo oversees a variety of youth programs, including childcare, Camp Y-Owasco, and mentorship opportunities. Starting this summer, the YMCA will offer a full-day toddler program and extend its operating hours to better accommodate families.
These changes aim to enhance the YMCA’s support for children and families in the community. The new toddler program caters to children aged 18 months to 3 years, while extended hours starting in June will benefit preschool and school-age children. Additionally, the YMCA has introduced membership rates, providing access to a range of programs at reduced costs, including childcare during gym visits and organized youth nights.
The YMCA will also participate in the Start with Stars program and the upcoming enrollment in QUALITYstarsNY. The Y-Pals mentoring program and expanded childcare offerings at local schools underscore the organization’s dedication to nurturing young minds. With a century of camp experience, the YMCA is also preparing for its summer camp sessions, inviting applications for camp director and staff positions.
