The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 2:58 p.m. on Tuesday valid from Wednesday 11 a.m. until Thursday 1 a.m. for Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.
The weather service describes, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” adds the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
