Counties included in the Warning are: Cayuga, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Tompkins, Wayne, and Yates counties in the immediate area. Onondaga and Monroe counties are also included. The high wind warning runs from this afternoon, through early-Thursday, which is when the National Weather Service says the greatest impact will be felt.
Sustained winds during the afternoon and overnight hours will range between 30-40 mph for most. Gusts will range between 50-60 mph, which could results in some power outages or downed limbs/trees.

In preparation, NYSEG and RG&E have deployed 200 line crews and 100 tree crew personnel across the state, poised to address and repair storm-related damages promptly. They’re urging customers to stay up-to-date with the latest from the National Weather Service.
