School districts in the Cayuga County area have showcased impressive academic performances, with all nine districts recording above-average scores in most subjects of the 2022-23 Regents exams, according to recent data from the New York State Education Department.
This achievement marks a notable improvement from the previous year, emphasizing the region’s commitment to educational excellence. The Auburn and Jordan-Elbridge districts, while trailing slightly in certain subjects, still managed to surpass the state average in multiple key areas.
The Union Springs, Weedsport, and Skaneateles school districts stood out by scoring above the state average across all Regents exam subjects. Weedsport, in particular, boasted a remarkable 96% proficiency rate in English language arts, the highest in both Cayuga and Onondaga counties.
Skaneateles demonstrated strong performance as well, with perfect scores in geometry among its many achievements, showcasing the high level of academic dedication and support within these communities.
