February was Syracuse’s warmest ever recorded, despite the cold, snowy Leap Day blast

Syracuse, N.Y. — After 28 days, last month stood out as the warmest February ever recorded in Central New York.

The Leap Day storm, with its raging winds and record-breaking lake effect snow, did its best in overtime to knock February 2024 off the top.
