A new art exhibit that is coming to Brooklyn explores how drawing can be revolutionary.
Crest Collective is hosting its inaugural exhibition, “Peripheral Vision,” starting on March 3 at the 68 Jay Street Galley in DUMBO. Founded in 2023 by students at the New York Studio School, Crest Collective believes that drawing is a radical act that allows artists to find themselves through searching, exploring and navigating the world.
The exhibition will feature works from Crest Collective members Leah Brown, Neyla Arnas, Jennifer Levine, Lenore Wolf, Jonathan Joubert, Suzanne Scott, Amelia Wykes, Merewyn Wirth, Walter Brown, Thomas Spackman, Yael Herzog, Narelle Sissons, Irit Baniel, Catherine Bickford, Marie-Chloe Duval, and Freya Jones. Those who attend the exhibition are invited to discover how drawing can help people pursue a better world.
Crest Collective will host an opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m. on March 3. The exhibition is free to the public and will be on display through April 3.
