A tractor-trailer accident caused disruptions on I-86 in Steuben County, but the area has now been cleared, restoring normal traffic.
The incident, which saw a tractor-trailer roll onto its side into the median, occurred near Bath between the Bath and Kanona exits around 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 29.
Despite the eastbound lanes remaining clear, westbound traffic experienced delays as emergency crews worked at the scene.
Witnesses reported that the truck remained on its side until late afternoon, with recovery teams from B&W Towing actively working to upright the vehicle.
By 5 p.m., traffic information provider 511ny confirmed that the obstruction had been removed and traffic conditions on both sides of I-86 had returned to normal.
