HS hockey: Farrell’s season ends in heartbreak in state title game vs. St. Joe’s Collegiate of Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Monsignor Farrell’s ice hockey season ended in heartbreak Saturday afternoon as the Lions suffered a 3-2 overtime loss to St. Joseph’s Collegiate in the New York State CHSAA ‘AA’ championship game at the LECOM Harborcenter.

Patrick Ohly’s power-play goal with 14:59 left in the extra period gave St. Joe’s its 13th NYSCHSAA title overall. The Marauders finished with a 15-10-1 record.
