The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Nathaniel S. Colfer, a 48-year-old resident of Williamson, following a reported family disturbance.
Colfer faces several charges, including first-degree criminal contempt, unlawful imprisonment, criminal obstruction of breathing, harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child.
These charges stemmed from an incident where Colfer assaulted a victim who is under the protection of a court order, all in the presence of multiple children.
Further investigation revealed another incident on February 29 involving Colfer, leading to additional charges of first-degree contempt and harassment.
After processing, Colfer was arraigned in CAP Court and subsequently released. The circumstances of his release were not detailed in the report.
