The Buffalo Bills made a trade Monday night, sending offensive lineman Ryan Bates to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Bates, 27, has played all five seasons of his NFL career with Buffalo, making 19 starts in 73 games.
The Bears signed Bates to an offer sheet as a restricted free agent in 2022, but the Bills matched the four-year, $17 million deal.
Buffalo has 11 picks in the upcoming draft, which will be held in Detroit from April 25-27.
