On Monday night, St. Joseph-by-the-Sea’ Angelina Hodgens’ dexterity paid off in spades as the junior point forward was tabbed the winner of the 39th Annual girls’ Warren Jaques Award, presented to Staten Island’s most outstanding girls’ basketball player each year.

“To have our first girls’ Jaques Award winner at St. Joe’s in decades is very special and Angelina is very deserving of this honor,” lauded Vikings head coach Josh Suslak. “She’s relentless in her work ethic and has given her all to the game and helping the team win.”
