Tottenville and Petrides’ quest to advance to the PSAL AAA city playoff quarterfinals came to an end after they dropped round-of-16 contests to a pair of the division’s top-ranked teams on Monday.
Nicholas Lam scored a game-high 26 points, but the No. 14 Pirates dug themselves into a hole when they fell behind by double digits in the second quarter en route to an 82-60 loss to host and No. 3 Brooklyn Law and Technology.

The Pirates (19-8 overall) and Panthers (18-9) ended their respective seasons.
Bergtraum and Brooklyn Law and Technology both advanced to Wednesday’s quarterfinals. The Blazers will host No. 8 Westinghouse (5 p.m.) while the Jets entertain No. 6 Brandeis (4:30). The PSAL AAA semifinals are scheduled for Sunday at Queens College.

Siyani Arthur paced BLT’s balanced attack with 16 points, including three three-pointers, while teammates Keysaun Murray and Kyle Dhu chipped in with 15 and 14 points, respectively, for the 23-3 Jets.
Thanks in part to Lam and Rexhaj’s combined 11 points, the Pirates only trailed BLT 16-13 after one period.
