Jason Kelce wasted no time in making good on a promise with the Bills Mafia.
His first act in retirement? Jumping through a flaming table. In a clip shared by New Heights, Kelce is shown with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, bracing to jump through a flaming table. The center wasted no time in jumping off of the back of a fire truck through the table.
Kelce first promised to jump through a flaming table for Buffalo Bills fans when his podcast was doing a best team name poll. When the poll was started without his notice, Kelce promised to dive through a table if Buffalo came back in their poll against the Chiefs. Buffalo would win the poll and Kelce, as shown above, made good on his promise.
Kelceโs fascination with jumping through a table started when he tailgated with Bills fans ahead of Buffaloโs divisional round matchup against the Chiefs. In a New Heights podcast, Kelce shared his disappointment in not diving through a table.
โI was hoping I was going to get an opportunity (to jump through a table) and it just didnโt arrive,โ Kelce told his brother Travis. โMaybe next time. Next time, Buffalo. I was wishing. No tables though. No tables… Had who knows how many beers over at BIg Tree and then through the tailgate. Dude, I donโt know what I was expecting, but everybody was beyond excited to have a good time and enjoy some football… Man, it was awesome.โ
