Jordan Poyer’s time in Buffalo has come to an end after seven seasons.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Bills released the veteran All-Pro safety on Wednesday as they try to get under the salary cap.
Poyer, 33, had one year remaining on his two-year, $12.5 million contract that will leave a $2 million dead cap hit.
The Bills will save $5.72 million against the cap by releasing Poyer.
In 107 games with Buffalo, Poyer recorded 682 tackles, 22 interceptions, eight forced fumbles, and six fumbles recovered.
Additionally, the Bills released cornerback Siran Neal, saving $2.88 million against the cap.
