Rent increases in Syracuse in January were among of highest in NY and nation: The Syracuse metro area had one of the biggest increases in rent costs in New York and the nation in January, according to data from Zillow. The typical market rate rent across all home types in Syracuse in January was $1,407, according to the most recent data available from Zillow. That was an increase of 8.55% from January 2023, and among the highest increases in the nation.
