Syracuse women’s basketball drops to No. 6 seed in latest ESPN projection, could face UConn

Syracuse, N.Y. — The Syracuse women’s basketball team dropped to a No. 6 seed in ESPN’s projected NCAA Tournament bracket following the Orange’s ACC tournament loss to Florida State on Friday.

ESPN’s Charlie Creme dropped the Orange a seed line after the 78-65 defeat, a loss that may have been more convincing than the final score. Syracuse was projected as a No. 5 seed by Creme before the ACC tournament.
