Two rock and roll concerts have been added to CMAC’s 2024 concert lineup in Upstate New York.
John Fogerty will celebrate his songs from Creedence Clearwater Revival on June 11 at CMAC (Constellation Brands – Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center) in Canandaigua. Special guests George Thorogood & The Destroyers and Hearty Har will open the show at 7 p.m.
Also, Warren Haynes of The Allman Brothers Band and Gov’t Mule fame will play CMAC on June 9. The show will feature The Warren Haynes Band and Dreams & Songs Symphonic Experience.
Tickets for both concerts will go on sale Friday, March 15, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Prices may vary.
Fogerty, 78, is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer who co-founded Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). The singer-guitarist’s hits include “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Fortunate Son,” “Down on the Corner,” “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” “Centerfield” and “Rockin’ All Over the World.”
Fogerty is also scheduled to perform June 12 at the Broadview Stage at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) in Saratoga Springs) and June 14 at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, the site of the original Woodstock festival where he performed in 1969.
Haynes, 63, is a Southern rock guitarist, singer and songwriter who’s performed with the Allman Brothers Band, The Dickey Betts Band, The Derek Trucks Band, Dave Matthews Band, and Grateful Dead members in Phil Lesh and Friends and The Dead. Haynes also co-founded the jam band Gov’t Mule and co-wrote songs like Garth Brooks’ “Two of a Kind, Workin’ on a Full House.”
Haynes is also scheduled to perform at Bethel Woods on June 7.
CMAC, an outdoor amphitheater located on the Finger Lakes Community College campus, has more than a dozen concerts scheduled for the 2024 season.
