Niagara Falls man arrested by NFTA Police for Cheektowaga hit-and-run

A Niagara Falls man has been charged in connection with a hit and run at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport in Cheektowaga, the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority said in a news release.

Travis Rosario, 51, is accused of fleeing the scene after hitting a 44-year-old Williamsville man at about 4:55 a.m. on Feb. 27, while he wasย walkingย on an access road, Luiz F. Kahl Way, across from the McDonaldโ€™s restaurant on Genesee Street.

Rosario struck the unnamed pedestrian with the SUV he was driving, the NFTA said.

Rosario faces a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident. He is scheduled to be arraigned March 28 in Cheektowaga Town Court.

The victim of the crash was taken to Erie County Medical Center. He has since been released and continues to receive treatment at a rehabilitation center, NFTA officials said.ย
