A visiting professor from the American Studies Center of the University of Warsaw in Poland will present a lecture called “Russkiy Mir and the Near Abroad: How History Determines Russian Foreign Policy in the 21st Century”ย at 6 p.m. March 21ย at Daemen University, 4380 Main St., Amherst.
Wลodzimierz Batog, who is currently teaching at Canisius University and Daemen University, will speak in Room 120 of the Research and Information Commons at Daemen.ย He has written books on the Communist Party in the U.S. during the early years of the Cold War and student protests at Ivy League colleges during the Vietnam era.ย
